Cape Verde's Sal 'a good option' for property investors
The island of Sal offers investors some of the best property in Cape Verde, according to one real estate expert.
Managing director of Cape Verde Property Adrian Lillywhite described how house prices have dropped, noting there are some "tremendous resale bargains".
"Even though it is still in its infancy, Sal is developing nicely into a cosmopolitan little island with a variety of top quality developments," Mr Lillywhite stated.
He claimed now is a "great" time to purchase a home in Cape Verde, as infrastructure is being improved and there has been considerable investment in tourism.
Mr Lillywhite explained Sal is the most popular island and the town of Santa Maria is a particularly good place to invest, as it has a range of "excellent" bars and restaurants, as well as beaches and water sports facilities.
His comments follow those of managing director of Feltrim International Adam Cornwell, who said tourism is set to expand in Cape Verde, as it is an affordable winter sun destination.
